Today, Representative Jason M. Lewis (D. Winchester) filed Docket HD3696, a bill to prohibit the shark fin trade in the state of Massachusetts, with an exception for dogfish. The Shark Research Institute, New England Aquarium, Humane Society International, Humane Society of the United States, Oceana, Sierra Club, Fin Free, WSPCA, MSPCA, Shark Angels, Shark Savers, Stop Shark Finning, W2O and the Shark Whisperer are supporting the initiative.
