March 23, 2013 - Saturday at BTS . . . and more!

Saturday, as always, was the busiest day at BTS. It is  a treat to see old friends and catch-up on what they’ve been doing the past year. Our booth was staffed by Chris, Mario and Tori Romo (image at  left). Tori has been with SRI since she was only 10 — and now she is 19! Time flies when there is so much to do to protect sharks!!

Three highlights were legends Jean-Michel Cousteau, Valerie Taylor and Dr. Eugenie Clark. All spoke eloquently about shark and ocean conservation. Jean-Michel and signed copies of his books afterwards, as did Genie who also graciously signed copies of her books for several pediatric oncology patients who were unable to attend the show.

Best news of the day came from my daughter and son-in-law; a new addition to our family arrived at 6:12 am – Harrison Gray: 7 lbs 9 ounces!
