I am hoping to blog from CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) which meets in Bangkok 3-14 March 2013. CITES’ decisions affect everyone on this planet because CITES controls the destiny of 35,000 endangered plants and animals. The decisions of CITES delegates should be based on scientific evidence, but that isn’t always what happens when politics gets into the mix.
